Using CBD Oil For A More Relaxing Massage

I usually get a massage at least twice a month. It helps get me relief after a very stressful week at work. On one occasion, my massage therapist asked me if I wanted to try getting a CBD massage. This article answers a bunch of questions I had about it. The first thought I had was, is it addictive and will it mess with my head?

CBD stands for Cannabidiol. Like THC, it is one of the most common types of cannabinoids found in Cannabis. The difference lies in the effect of the oil. Cannabidiol is not the same as the psychoactive compound THC. It does not interfere with your cognitive function. THC is psychoactive because it binds with the cannabinoid receptor in your brain. This gives you the feeling of being “high”.

CBD oil is usually extracted from hemp plants. Unlike marijuana, hemp contains almost 0% traces of THC. This makes it safe to consume or use even during a massage.

Benefits of using CBD Oil

There is also a lot of information that seems to prove the number of health benefits associated with CANNABIDIOL. The most common reason why a lot of patients use CBD is its ability to manage pain.

There are several studies on rats with arthritis. When they used the product and massaged it onto their skin, it reduced their pain. There was also visible proof that it reduced swelling.

These days, we turn to alternative approaches to relieve our stress. People who use cannabidiol oil reported that it helped them cope with anxiety and PTSD. However, there has to be more studies about CBD benefits that treat the common signs of stress.

One of my favorite benefits of CBD is it makes your skin feel smooth after a good rub-down. Unlike other types of oil, cannabidiol does not leave you feeling greasy and dirty. In fact, it felt like I moisturized my skin several times. This may be due to the traces of essential fatty acids seen in cannabidiol oil. They help promote a healthier, more hydrated skin. I must say, it also made me feel more beautiful!

What to expect when getting a Cannabidiol Massage

Having a CBD massage involves any type of massage technique. The only difference is the use of cannabidiol oil instead of other oils like coconut or olive. You can ask your therapist if you want to focus on certain problem areas.

When CBD touches your skin, it interacts with your cannabinoid receptors. They help communicate with your Endocannabinoid System, which is responsible for your body achieving homeostasis. Homeostasis is important because it gives the brain the idea if your body is in an overall state of balance. One symptom of imbalance is when your brain picks up the feeling of pain and discomfort. CBD helps alleviate this which results in lower levels of stress.

In my experience, it took an average of 2-3 hours before I felt the effects of the cannabidiol massage. Once I did, I was in pure bliss. Imagine getting a good one-hour massage and sleeping like a baby. I felt so relaxed and the CBD oil seemed to amplify the effects of my massage. The pain that I would normally feel on my lower back disappeared. My migraines were reduced. The shin splits I get from running every day also went away.

Are there Side Effects?

According to some articles on this cannabinoid website, I did not feel any side effects from my cannabidiol massage. I read about people complaining of nausea, fatigue, and diarrhea after their massage. I did not experience any of these. It is best to ask your therapist where he or she got the CBD oil. You can also check the packaging and make sure that there is very little or no THC traces at all.

Legally, CBD oils are allowed to have only 0.3% of traces of THC. Remember that it is psychoactive so it will definitely have some side effects after use. If you feel any discomfort while using the oil used by your therapist, ask them to switch to your usual oil. I recommend buying your own cannabidiol oil. I always bring mine to the spa and ask my therapist to use the brand I trust.

Conclusion

I highly recommend incorporating this product to your next massage. The benefits definitely outweigh the common concerns about the use of cannabidiol. There are a lot of legitimate manufacturers who distribute several types of CBD products. For more information, visit this https://canabidol.com/. These days, they are not only in oils. They make edibles, drops, and several other products too. Make sure you select the right one for you. On your next massage, make sure to relax and tell your therapist to focus on your most painful areas.

Then, close your eyes and enjoy the process until you zen out.
