I UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO OVERDOSE ON CANNABIS, BUT I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT NO ONE HAS DIED FROM ITS USE. PEOPLE CAN HAVE AN ALLERGY TO IT. I’m a spinal cord injury patient..I have 26 peices of Titanium rebuilding my spinal cord, and a Morphine pump implanted in my abdomen with a catherter into my spinal cord..with a computerized 24hr drip…I take Vicodin,Flexeril and Nuerotin orally for breakthrough pain…and with all of this I’m still in constant pain..I’m wanting to find out if Medical Marijuana is available in the state of Illinois??? Thank you, to all of the treating yourself family. When my partner and I first moved to Canada it was because of a gross atrocity of legal negligence and a need for legal medical cannabis. We are now proud of our 2 year marriage anniversary and the fact that TY magazine family and staff have been here to support us the whole way through. Since my first trip to canada before our current exile, Treating yourself began to make a reliable name, with dignity and pride. Marco is truly a man of great talent, and the most business savy and compassionate man i have encountered in our world travels. After forced medical exile into Canada, and now with my legal prescription for medical cannabis, i am flourishing. I would be dead as i was told to prepare my estate many times between 19-25 years of age. Needles to say, i am off of a 800mg morphine tablets for over a year now, and have not needed a wheelchair for several months, in fact i am now working on preparing the first legal hemp crops in the southern US since WWII. I have learned much from the canadian activist who have encouraged and kept us safe through this dark time in history, when you are a criminal for having the “wrong state” for my medical condition. I ask you to name one other person or magazine that does as much non profit compassion work with a keene sense of business not lost on idealism. TY is a true wind of change, and “it doesn’t take a weatherman to no wich way the wind blows.”!

AACM Press Release
The American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine (AACM) is proud and happy to congratulate its Vice President Sunil Aggarwal for his central role in yesterday’s (11/10/09) vote by the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates (HOD) urging the federal government to review the Schedule 1 status of cannabis:
The AACM is a professional organization of doctors and researchers who support both the clinical use of cannabis and cannabinoids and further research into the medical utility and mechanisms of action of these medications.
Dr Aggarwal helped draft the resolution of the Washington State Medical Society and the Medical Students Section which led the AMA to arrive at this ground breaking action. AACM Board Members Dr. Frank Lucido, Dr Christopher Fichtner and Dr. David Bearman provided testimony to the House of Delegates in support of the resolution at the November 2008 HOD meeting.
The AMA urged that “the marijuana’s status as a federal schedule 1 controlled substance be reviewed with the goal of facilitating the conduct of clinical research and development of cannabinoid- based medicines, and alternate delivery methods. This should not be viewed as an endorsement of state-based medical cannabis programs, the legalization of marijuana, or that scientific evidence on the therapeutic use of cannabis meets the current standards for a prescription drug product.”
The AMA urged adequate government support of clinical research. The resolution called for “sufficient funding to support such clinical research and access for qualified investigators to adequate supplies of marijuana for clinical research purposes; confirming that marijuana of various and consistent strengths and or placebo will be supplied by the National Institute on Drug Abuse to investigators registered with the Drug Enforcement Agency who are conducting bona fide clinical research studies that receive Food and Drug Administration approval, regardless of whether or not the NIH is the primary source of grant support.”
By law the Drug Czar currently must oppose research demonstrating the beneficial effects of cannabis. As this AMA policy is being rolled out the US Senate is considering a motion by Senator Charles Grassley (R- Iowa) to prohibit even the discussion of Medical Marijuana in a commission to review US Drug Policy proposed by Senator Jim Webb (D-VA). The AACM salutes the AMA for putting science before politics.
The AACM looks forward to using our clinical experience to assist in the important research which will result from this action. We are happy that the government is being asked by this respected body to investigate the largest neuro-transmitter system in the human body.
The AMA’s action gives the US an opportunity to catch up with Western Europe in developing cannabis, cannabis based and cannabinoid medicines. The AACM knows from our clinical experience that the potential clinical applications for medicinal cannabis whether natural or synthetic, is enormous. This action by the AMA will trigger a substantial economic stimulus because the pharmaceuticals that will be developed to address disorders affecting the endocannabinoid system offer a broad potential for medical and commercial success.

Hey does anyone here know if you have to be over a certain age limit to get a smokeing license in Alberta?
I just purchased your last release and I am trying to enter the Roor contest but I can not find the answwer to the question except I do know there is only this month left so there can only be this one contect left but its not telling me anywhere the actual answer and I NEED TO WIN BAD!! I could never afford to buy this and a Roor is a life long dream to own.
I would say you could die, via allergic reaction, which is actually an autoimmune response, where your body is overreacting to the presence of a material. This could cause your throat to close, hyper ventilation and then lung collapse.
Since I converted to vaporizers, I would have to say however if I didn’t kill myself going ape with the vape so much so hard, so fast…. then I don’t think anyone can.
Of course no one has tried to deliberately overdose on tincture or extreme high purity hash / hash oil.
I would imagine if it was absolutely possible, one of the three above in conjecture with the vapor delivery method would be the most potent and effective route for testing.
I would also like to say that your magazine, from the word of mouth I have heard is one of if not the most highly respected publication in this field, making other entries, look as if jokes by comparison.

I went to HUMAN compassion center yesterday in Toronto, what a bunch of assholes, you think compassion meant something, apparently not in Toronto. Then I started thinking and after speaking with a few people who travel the country like I do, came to a conclusion, Toronto has the worst kind of People in All of Canada. You want compassion go to BC anywhere you want solid cool people go to Quebec, you want to be shit and pissed on go to Toronto.

Hi, I got knocked of my mbike a few years ago and have been troubled by crohns/ulcerative colitis symptoms along with pain in my left hip, knee, shoulder …with numbness from neck to toes sporadically all down my left side since getting knocked off … I was a physically fit 6ft1 and 14 stones (in weight) lad who could eat anything before the crash worked hard and supported my family …
Now I can’t eat much of anything and struggle to maintain 10 stones in weight , the docs have me on masses of morphine despite my protests …I had to be pain free ..or at least get some respite somehow so I took the morphine …
I rarely get out now, too many messy side effects on the morphine and other crohns drugs they have me on ..
anyone help me out there ? am UK based

i am looking to volunteer at the convention i can pay my way there , i have been interested in being a care growe for quite some time now, my mother has medical and her grower apprenticed me for a bit and i have about 3 years of hands on knowledge and 5 years or book knowledge but am still in the learning process, i have taken autoCAD design classes and have layouts for a very modern technilogical building that i am looking for sponser to help start it is a very pregressive idea and i fear to type it in this comment as my idea is not yet pattened please give me a call or email back so that i may talk to the people i need to about volunteering and possibly presenting my designs to some people in the future, i have talked to several people about this and they all agree it is a very bright idea but suggest me to find the right people to fully explain it to and to work with on it as i am not yet old enough to progress to the next step i take a train for about 5 hours round trip every other month to attend NORML meetings in eugene oregon to learn as much as i can this is something i plan to devote a large section of my life too i am currently in community collge working on architectural design 3d design horticulture and culinary arts, volunteered at the last portland hempstalk and the past two years before that in seattle, i am an extremely devoted and motivated person and will bring my idea to life in any way i can , but hopefully much farther than the 3d model i already have…thank you so much for tking the time to read this and please get back to me as soon as possible thank you so much again peace 503 926 1911

give a money a controlled dose of smoke ,,lets say the equivalent of 1000 joints.. at a time.
the lack of oxygen will cause brain damage, and since you are using Marijuana, then that is what caused it.

Hi, I was diagnos with Multiple Myeloma (bone cancer) 3 yrs. ago, at the time it was at (stage 3) and they felt it would fracture prior to treatments; radiation, chemo. So they sent me to get it filled in with this plastic as 90% of the hip was eaten from cancer, it left me with sciatic nerve damage. The radiation left me with servere arthrytis in the hip and knee, even though they were to replace the hip totally, only if I would be cancer free. I had to get two chemo treatments with stem cell transplants, the first didn’t work as my cell were of type two (Multiple Myeloma) and would not work, so they got my brother’s cell (perfect match) and they gave me a larger dose of chemo. It worked out and I’m now cancer free, however, there is no cure and it will return, hopefully much, much later. With all this said, I have a boat load of health problems now and a boat load of pills I still take. They can’t seem to find anything to control the acid reflex and as for the the hip, it got replaced twice in the last year and is recovering slowly. they give boat load of oxy’s for pain but there is nothing better for it, then some good old pot, for relaxation. I can’t believe that the governments are so blind to this wonder drug, with so many benefits to health problems of all types. Who can you trust these days??? Mother Nature or the pharmaceuticals looking to cashing in on it! I do not wish, of their involvement in the process of legallization, as it will still keep us from providing our own cures and have them be the only source of medication availlable to the public. Thank you for providing a forum for the truth to be known to those who are looking for it! Keep up the good work!
We need complete legalization of cannabis hemp. Education is the only way. 1:100 people are growing in BC and similar numbers across Canada… This cannot be fought. People have always loved cannabis and always will, for all its medicinal benefits. I don’t have any severe conditions. Marijuana helps with depression and helps me sleep at night, thus improving my quality of life. I can’t believe something so basic is illegal. I don’t use any other drugs but cannabis, not even caffeine.

My Name is Ryan McIlvenna, I am a Health Canada Applicant my application was received on Nov 4th 2009, Health Canada called me back on December 4th to say that my application was all in order and that all they had to do was contact the Dr. about the daily amount. On Jan 17 2010, I was pulled over bringing my daughter for an allergy shot. I had just under my monthly limit and presented the officer with the signed application as my card had not come in yet. He arrested me and my 17 year old for possession for the purpose and Health Canada did nothing to back me up. I plead guilty to get my daughter off and am looking at 6 months in jail. My sentencing is in early March. To date my Dr. says that no one from Health Canada has contacted them.
